Publication workflows

Summary

Datasets should have a publication workflow, so they can be fetched into database and reviewed before beeing publicly released.

Rationale

Use cases:

• publication workflow

  e.g.: A dataset is automatically published for public use one year after acquisition date.

• validation workflow

  e.g.: A dataset is published after some external validation process (human validation, etc...).

May depend on DOI support.

Design

Should support manual and programmable (recurrent) transitions.

Implementation
